has anyone messed with the new kernel tickless option? does it affect/help vserver performance? also, has anyone experience with doing a raid1 or some type of partition mirroring between machines via private ethernet? i am interested in developing some kind of simple 'clustering' using 2 machines similar to what cobalt does using adventurine but for linux-vserver rather than openvz that would maintain both sets of drives in sync at all times and be able to failover within seconds. LVS would work using a separate director box, but that gets me into 3 machines and a bit of clumsiness i would prefer not to have. the idea came from this ebay item: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190195770882&ssPageName=MERC_VI_RCRX_Pr4_PcY_BID_Stores_IT&refitem=200199276939&itemcount=4&refwidgetloc=active_view_item&usedrule1=CrossSell_LogicX&refwidgettype=cross_promot_widget&_trksid=p284.m184&_trkparms=algo%3DCRX%26its%3DS%252BI%252BSS%26itu%3DISS%252BUCI%252BSI%26otn%3D4#ebayphotohosting -- Chuck
