Dear Community! I've been maintaining Linux-VServer for more than 12 years now and no worries, I'm not done with it yet. Over the years the appreciation for me maintaining those patches I created so many years ago slowly faded and most Linux-VServer users nowaday take the availability for granted -- it has been quite a while since somebody picked an item from my Hardware List [1] and sent it to me. But today was the first time somebody really managed to get me angry by basically claiming that 'I do not care anymore', after asking over and over again 'is it done?' and 'when will it be done?' I was so annoyed that I didn't want to continue working on the 3.13 patch anymore, until I realized, that this would only hurt the Linux-VServer community. Since a few years now mainline is working on getting LXC into a decent shape, and some parts are already useable, but unfortunately there is still a lot of improvement necessary. 3.11 changed a number of things which affected Linux-VServer and the changes in 3.12 and 3.13 didn't make porting the patch easier, so once again, mainline was a moving target and it took some time and thinking to get a working patch done. Back to positive thinking and good news: a first patch [2] for 3.13.1 is now available for testing, please let me know if you encounter any issues or hit any specific problems with it. I hope that the beforementioned person will at least have the decency to do extensive testing on the released patch and report back with a test case for every tiny aspect which doesn't work as expected.
