We use your packages on debian but also on some ubuntu machines, thé main issue is
that the initrd ils not automatically generated on 10.04 (seems ok on 12.04 but we didnt
do an extensive testing on it) even with do-initrd=yes on /etc/kernel-img.conf.

Which one are you testing on Debian or Ubuntu? Neither have packages
for kernels in their own repositories. I maintain some repositories
for Debian, I don't know of a repo for Ubuntu. So personally I would
go for Debian and my packages. The bias in this opinion should be
readily apparent though.
