Yes, I figured that out. 
One wonders if like with scripts the current vserver name is available to
vshelper scripts as well as $2. Then it would be possible to just have one
incarnation in .defaults.

Yeah, the actual problem was a typo in the guest name, which became
obvious when reading cron/at log output sometimes later. Dooh. 

This workaround works now, thanks.
