I'm not sure I completely understand your problem, but are you saying
that you have set up limits for both "/vservers/<vs_name>" and
"/srv/vsdata/<vs_name>", even though one is the mount point for the
other?  So you have two directories under
"/etc/vserver/<vs_name>/dlimits", one where the "directory" file points
to "/vservers/<vs_name>" and one where it points to "/srv/vsdata/<vs_name>"?

I think you just want to set up the limits for where ever your
"/etc/vserver/<vs_name>/vdir" symlinks point to.  I would get rid of the
limits and cache file pointing to the other location.

But my apologies if I've misunderstood your situation and that's not
helpful. :-)
