yes, your tools (util-vserver) are too old for that kernel,
and so your guests are not really isolated and can change
things on the host as well

appear, but as I said, the isolation is incomplete, due to
a change in mainline which affected how namespaces are
created ..

updating util-vserver to a recent snapshot will fix the
issues.
