While you where catching your zzz's . . .

Check the ML for posts by 'Dallas Kashuba' [Dreamhost.com] -

You have an offer of more hosting than this community will ever use.

Due to the legal niceties of domain registration and donated services -
**You need to contact him** (sorry to burden the main developer) -
Make your deal, pick your domain name (vserver.org?) file your registration info, etc.

That account will have one of those 'web site control panels' - - -
Just go to the 'users' section, add me as an ssh/ftp user on the account -
I don't think I need account panel access (well, I might, to get at phpmyadmin) -

Then you can go back to coding until it is decision making time again. ;)

There are three open question areas as of this (my local) morning -
*) will there be changes to how repositories are used?
*) will the current site wiki's be linked to, mirrored, or imported?
*) what will the 'final' feature set include?

Now, on this last item, I have more than enough to go on for now -
but that is no reason to stop the community members from mentioning
things they think of.

I am sure they will think of more once they can play with the prototype
of the new community center.
Things like do they want video/webcam with their live chat? ;)
Those can be made much later in the process.
My main job at the moment is the main (default) site 'look and feel' -
in this CMS each registered user can pick their own if they don't like
the default. The default is what the browsing public sees.

I will do my best to provide that 'bad example' - and no, I don't mind
if you have to put it into /dev/null - (but it will not be that bad) ;)

@Community - -
So keep on posting - don't think "Mike will do it all" - - We all want
to hear your ideas now and your reviews of any future prototype community home.

So far, you haven't made the community wishlist big enough to include something
that this CMS package can't do. ;)

As to a user (client I.E: guest side) web-panel - - imagine you where
adding onto the dreamhost web-panel menu - - we have members on both
the host and the client side of that web-panel on this list.

I only make that suggestion to give the subject a point of focus -
Not to propose rewriting the Dreamhost panel - just a "what if"
the new web-panel was a member of its menu.
