will a newer version kernel help get rid of these? or possible i have a debug setting

enabled that i don't want?

vxW: [»ps«,24878:#1|0|0] did lookup hidden ffff81007f9a2df0[#0,2] »/dev/pts«.
vxW: [»ps«,25152:#3625|3625|3625] did lookup hidden ffff81007f9a2df0[#0,2] »/dev/pts«.

they are literally clogging the logs making it impossible to use the logs for anything.

we are currently using 2.6.26-vs2.3.0.35.6-gentoo

however we do not want to update to something too new or else it might requre extensive

changes. it is on a production machine. just in glancing at some of the subjects things

have been busy here and i have not had the time to pay to the list like usually do so
i am
not aware of 'latest n greatest'. until i catch up, we need to keep things 'standardized'

concerning the kernel/vserver operation.
