-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hello everybody, Just to share what I have: /etc/fstab: cat /etc/fstab /dev/hdv1 / ext3 rw 0 0 /dev/hdv1 /dev ext3 ro 0 0 /proc/mounts: cat /proc/mounts rootfs / rootfs rw 0 0 /dev/root / reiserfs rw 0 0 none /proc proc rw,nodiratime,nodev 0 0 none /tmp tmpfs rw,nodev 0 0 none /dev/pts devpts rw 0 0 So, even without having the /proc FS inside the fstab file, the /proc FS still mounts. What I run is latest utils and 2.6.22.6-vs2.3.0.20 kernel and of course host and guest run GNU/Debian linux. Cheers, - -Nikolay Oliver Welter wrote: > Emanuele Rocca schrieb: >> * Oliver Welter <mail@oliwel.de>, [2007-10-15 22:20 +0200]: >>> Hi Hollow >>> > >>> > Please check if /proc/mount is accessible from inside (only thing i found in >>> > the sources which might result in the error you pasted) >>> >>> Yep youre right -.so what to do ? >> Maybe you don't have a proper /proc line in /etc/vservers/<name>/fstab? > >> It should be something like: >> none /proc proc defaults 0 0 > > > No, I checked this already... > > $cat /etc/vservers/ftp/fstab > none /proc proc defaults 0 0 > none /tmp tmpfs size=16m,mode=1777 0 0 > none /dev/pts devpts gid=5,mode=620 0 0 > > And as the bootup messages shows - the scripts try to mount proc > (andpts) but fail: > > > * /proc is already mounted, skipping > > * Mounting devpts at /dev/pts ... > [ !! ] > * The "mount -n -t devpts -o gid=5,mode=0620,noexec,nosuid devpts > /dev/pts" command failed with error: > * permission denied > > > Oliver > -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.6 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iQEVAwUBRxRZdTFLYVOGGjgXAQJSEQf/endXq3KoVhfoWKbLkDgpeNqIFYtbMwZW nUevVMadmFg4vcBk+1Lahb8AtNoEnaincmfLIbz0WDoFPSfxoXUa/Wfo0je4IRFV D8a4nf5Y8DgZ9lUIMx7Sxumxy+XafN39a24EPBRVcK+F/5tgje/j9dM8Svo33SFH M7QD5wqM0kQv7+CPRhFqNxrIfYxWA8cPwWVxbFUfhABuspYomw2FHuW+Iq5q+C1g NyI6GG7eMyLMjpbjfMzIYQQ5zhx3Km5jajBQTh9pvLyggMJJA04BVnOugHkizHfU 4EWtYS4RDjJ6hjfGkrom5CUA1yuCB4F+ScvJtO5wqYH4nDIJSzZjAg== =xlyc -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
