mmm,
sorry for the late reply, have been busy lately and its hard to keep up ;)
i am using a zimbra plugin that allows samba to authenticate to its LDAP
server so it could be a suspect, but turning the samba off does not make
any difference.
neither the number of connections is very large, its a small office setup.
