I have setup glusterfs between vservers. It seems to work well under
very limited testing. I do not understand why you would need to run
gluster ontop of  DRBD, but you probably can prove me wrong. I am sure
there are good reasons to :)

luster is not going to compile well on vserver. Something about the
luster patching of the kernel does not work well with vserver
patching.

Hadoop will run but that is a userspace filesystem. All you need is
java to get that running.
