It seems to work well under very limited testing. I do not understand why you would need to run gluster ontop of DRBD, but you probably can prove me wrong. I am sure there are good reasons to :) I wrote a doc on using glusterfs. http://linux-vserver.org/Fuse_GlusterFS luster is not going to compile well on vserver. Something about the luster patching of the kernel does not work well with vserver patching. Hadoop will run but that is a userspace filesystem. All you need is java to get that running. Good luck
